Abhishek Bachchan To Collaborate With Siddharth Anand After King; Next Project To Be A Horror Flick- Report

Abhishek Bachchan has demonstrated remarkable versatility through a wide range of films over the years and is now gearing up for his next appearance in King, directed by Siddharth Anand and headlined by Shah Rukh Khan. While anticipation around the film is already high, a recent report suggesting another potential collaboration between Abhishek and Siddharth has further heightened excitement among fans. Will Abhishek Bachchan Take On A Horror Project Next?

As per reports, Siddharth Anand will back the project under his production banner Marflix Pictures, while the film will be directed by one of his close associates. The yet-to-be-titled venture is said to be a folklore-inspired horror thriller that revolves around a deeply emotional father–daughter relationship. Envisioned as a visually grand spectacle, the film will reportedly rely heavily on VFX and aims to deliver a distinctive theatrical experience within the Indian horror genre.

Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan, who has not previously explored the horror genre, is expected to take on a character-driven role that demands a raw and emotionally layered performance. Siddharth Anand reportedly plans to position the film within the mainstream commercial space. The intention is to bring fresh focus to the horror genre, which lately has largely leaned towards horror-comedy formats. The project is currently expected to go on floors in September 2026.

Siddharth Anand And Abhishek Bachchan’s Longstanding Association

Siddharth Anand and Abhishek Bachchan share a long-standing professional equation. Abhishek had earlier made a cameo appearance in Siddharth’s directorial debut Salaam Namaste, which starred Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. Their rapport has reportedly strengthened further during the making of King. We are sure this upcoming horror project is expected to deepen their creative collaboration.

Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Kaalidhar Laapata, where he portrayed a middle-aged man grappling with memory loss. He will next appear as the antagonist in King. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release during the Christmas 2026 weekend.

In addition to this, Abhishek will also feature Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji. The historical epic is slated to arrive in theatres on May 1, 2026.
