tara ahan tadap relevance

Student of the Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria will be seen in the Sajid Nadiadwala production Tadap. The romantic action drama marks the Bollywood debut of Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty. The movie is a Hindi remake of the 2018 Telugu romantic-action drama RX 100. The Hindi version is directed by Milan Luthria and produced by noted filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood, Bubble Tara Sutaria and Ahan Shetty have opened up on the comparison between RX 100 and Tadap.

Tara Sutaria opened up on her character Ramisa in Tadap, she said, “It is a unique role and Ramisa has thousand character shades to her. I cannot relate to her as we are poles opposite and she has a very challenging personality. Milan sir has added a different touch to the character to make it appealing to the pan Indian audience.”

Relevance of RX100, “That really depends on the set-up of the film, in terms of our director, our producer who has been doing this for so long, they are very well aware of why they are making an adaptation and what the purpose of making this film is.”

For example, we shot Tadap in Mussoorie and Hrishikesh, I think Milan sir has adapted very beautifully to suit the mountains and the really picturesque locations in which we shot everything. Every shot of our film has beautiful blue skies, mountains and water. So I think the flavours of Mussoorie and Hrishikesh really added that extra quality to our film. Also, I think in terms of the actors in our film, we also have Kumud Mishra Ji and Saurabh Shukla Ji, who are very close to us character-wise in the film. So I think they add a lot to the story and help adapt it in a more beautiful way. Even with Ishana and Ramisha’s character, it is not the same even though essentially they are.”

Ahan added, “The storyline is basically the same but there are certain situations in the film that are very different and the music and stuff.

She added that the comparisons between RX 100 and Tadap never bothered her. Tara said that if you are very sure about what you are doing and the story you are telling and if it is different enough and you believe enough then she does not think there is any room for comparison.
