Get ready to see Ajay Devgn and Kajol together onscreen after seven years?

Actor Ajay Devgn recently announced his next flick, ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’, a period drama on social media. The film helmed by Om Raut will be based on the life and times of Tanaji Malusare and his fight in the Battle of Sinhagad.

While you might already know that the film is all set to go floors on September 25, what you might not is the fact that it is will be Ajay’s real life wife, Kajol, who will be playing his reel-life wife in the film.

Yes, you heard that right! According to a source quote in DNA, “It’s likely that Kajol will play the female lead opposite Ajay in the movie. If she gives her nod, she will essay the role of Taanaji’s wife. Although essentially it’s a war film, it also focuses on the relationship between the Maratha warrior and his wife.”

“Kajol’s Marathi dialect is perfect and the role suits her. When she heard the part, she was excited about it. The mapping, layout, paperwork, designing and planning are happening right now. The makers have locked some locations outside Mumbai and have even started building the sets,” the source added.

The couple was last seen together onscreen in the film ‘Toonpur Ka Super Hero’. This will be after a a span of seven years that the couple will grace the big screens as a couple. We have loved their chemistry in the past and we just cannot wait to see them togeather again. What do you think?
