Ajay Devgn is a commendable actor. Over the years he has entertained the audience with his terrific performances. Be it action, comedy, romance, or socially relevant films Ajay has excelled in all genres brilliantly. Recently he was seen in the wildest adventure-comedy ‘Total Dhamaal’ which went on to enter the 100 crore club. The actor, who is currently busy shooting for the historical drama ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior‘, will be next seen in ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’. In the film, Ajay will be playing the role of an IAF Wing Commander.

As per a report in Times of India, in the film, Ajay will be depicting the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was the incharge of the Bhuj airport(Gujarat) during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Revealing about the film’s subject, producer Bhushan Kumar told the daily, ” This courageous tale needs to be told because we want the current and the coming generation to know about this brave soldier, Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who played a significant role in India’s victory in the 1971 war. He was heroic enough to take this bold step of involving civilians in a war. Also, who better than Ajay Devgn for the role of Vijay Karnik?”

Vijay Karnik is glad that Ajay will be playing him on the celluloid. “I could only see Ajay Devgn essaying my character and I’m glad that he’s on board,” he shared.

Helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh.

Ajay will definitely do full justice to this role and we are looking forward to watching him in this film.
