Akshay Kumar And Salman Khan

There is a new trend gaining ground in Bollywood,of releasing movies on holidays , or on a four day weekend. Instead of a Friday release. As it happens it was our very own Salman Khan the trendsetter, who has been an influence on everyone. He first started releasing his movies on EID and now has decided to release Mental on Republic day.

According to a source, Akshay Kumar too is following suit , with , ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobara’ already confirmed for an Eid release and ‘It’s Entertainment’ has been slated for a March 28, 2014 release. This gives it a four-day weekend with Monday, March 31, variously celebrated as Gudi Padwa and Ugadi in Maharashtra and the South, respectively. “Apart from the festive significance. The day would be the first Friday after completion of board examinations at school level. So, Akshay stands to benefit a lot from the four-day weekend.”

Looks Like Akshay too is following Salman’s footsteps. Well Salman does know what is best if you look at his Graph of hit movies.
