People may think that Akshay Oberoi didn’t get his due in the film industry as he has been around for so many years, yet he hasn’t attained that stardom which one would think he would have achieved, yet, he is constantly working. He keeps coming up with shows and films from time to time, and this lockdown has been one of the rare occasions that the actor has decided to take a break from everything and spend some quality time with his family.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he even opened up about the ongoing Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Have a look at the entire conversation right here:

While Akshay has said mum for a really long time on the topic of Sushant Singh Rajput, however, he decided to break this rule and open up to Bollywood Bubble. He said, “In a way, people are just mistreating it. It’s very sad for him and his family. Nobody knows what happened. First people started blaming someone else, and now it’s someone else. First, it was being said that the Bollywood mafia did it, now it’s someone else, and then it’s someone else, and more and more stories keep coming. I really don’t know what was going on in his life. I am not here to judge or make an assumption of what was happening. I just hope wherever he is, he is at peace now.

Talking of what Sushant may have had gone through, Akshay said, “Being in the limelight is not an easy job. He was in the limelight, much more than I am, much more than some other actors are. He was on his way to other bigger list of actors – that itself is tremendous stress. And he handled it beautifully. And he was a lovely actor. I didn’t know him personally but I sincerely hope that wherever he is now, he is happy.

He concluded by talking about the immense media craze around SSR’s death. He said, “I hope people give it a rest. I understand it’s Covid-19. I understand it’s the pandemic. I can understand that you’re taking you angst down as you’re also angry about life. And amidst that when you see sort of an injustice being done to someone else, who was so young and so successful, you latch onto it and use it as a thing of your angst. I want to urge people to not channel their own angst through Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. It’s just disrespecting him, his family and his legacy. So I hope that things quickly wrap up and then we can be silent, calm and pray for him.

We all hope and pray the same Akshay. We hope things wrap up quickly and Sushant gets justice.
