Alia Bhatt has cancelled her award show trip. The actress will be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Alia Bhatt and her entire family is currently going through a difficult time as Narendra Razdan, father of Soni Razdan, is not keeping well. He is admitted in a hospital. He is in a critical condition. Alia’s grandfather is 95. Reportedly, Alia Bhatt who was supposed to travel abroad for an award show, has now cancelled her trip.

Here’s why Alia cancelled her award show

ETimes quoted a source saying, “Mr. Narendra Razdan is Soni Razdan’s father and Alia’s grandfather. He has been in the Breach Candy Hospital for quite some time now. He had a lung infection which got worse. In the morning the family got a distress call that the doctors wanted to shift him to the ICU. There was a decision taken not to take him to the ICU, but to make him comfortable within the room.”

The source added, “He’s 95 and as of now he’s in the sunset hours. Alia returned back from the airport because she didn’t want to be there at the award function while her grandfather was going through a very vulnerable time.”

Alia shares a close bond with her grandfather. In 2021, Alia celebrated her grandfather’s birthday with family. She shared a photo and wrote, “happy 93 my inspiration. Love you gamps.”

On the work front, Alia will be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actress will be seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh in the same. Alia and Ranveer were earlier seen together in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani posters were recently unveiled by the makers. The posters gave us a glimpse of Ranveer and Alia’s sizzling chemistry in the upcoming film.

Alia captioned the quirky posters as, “Meet Rocky aur Rani #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahani, a film by Karan Johar in his 25^th anniversary year. In cinemas on 28^th July, 2023.” The upcoming film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Kshitee Jog, Tota Toy Choudhary, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, Anjali Anand, and Namita Das.
