Alia Bhatt shares how she would react if her daughter wants to be an actor: Why should I have any expectations

Alia Bhatt welcomed her first child, a baby girl on November 6, with her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor. The new mom was asked how she would react if her daughter wants to pursue a career in acting. Alia Bhatt shared how she would react if her daughter wants to be an actor.

The Brahmastra actor said that why would she have ‘any expectations and then be met with any disappointment’. She even opened up about bringing her baby girl in the ‘public eye’. Alia Bhatt said that about her daughter wanting to pursue a career in acting, she doesn’t think that’s something she ‘can really prepare and plan for’.

In an interview with Marie Claire, opening up about bringing up her little one in the public eye, Bhatt said, “I am a little concerned about bringing up a child in the public eye. I talk about it with my friends, with my family, and my husband a lot.”

She added, “I don’t want there to be a, sort of, intrusion into my child’s life. Because at the end of the day, I have chosen this path, but maybe my child may not want to choose this path when he or she grows up…so that’s something that I feel very protective about.”

Speaking further on how she would react if her daughter wants to pursue acting, Alia said, “I don’t think that’s something that I can really prepare and plan for. I don’t want to have any fixed ideas of how I want that to be.”

The actress continued, “Because why should I have any expectations and then be met with any disappointment or elation or anything of that sort? So they need the slate blank, a bit.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child and announced it via a post on Instagram. Bhatt took to her Instagram and wrote, “And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here…and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – Blessed and obsessed parents!!!! Love love love Alia and Ranbir.”

The couple had tied the knot in April, this year. It was last in the movie Brahmastra that they were seen together on the big screen.
