Alia is interested in the project worth Rs 10 crore and wants to extend her support to mommy financially and also otherwise.

The trust has plans to open the museum by the end of this year and it will document the biggest across-the-border migration in 1947. The museum will also display the donations and contributions from the common man along with documents and artefacts sourced through private and public collections and archives.

The source added, “Alia is busy with her Bollywood commitments, but wants to contribute to the project in whichever way she can. She also wishes to campaign for it to draw the attention of potential volunteers and philanthropists.”
