Ameesha Patel’s Blunt Comment On Fake PR
Ameesha Patel has taken a sharp dig at younger actresses, accusing them of relying on fake PR machinery to project themselves as top stars despite not having major solo box office successes. The actress defended her own filmography, pointing to hits like Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and the Gadar franchise.
Most female actresses who haven’t even achieved one film in their career where even a single film of theirs has done even 200 cr plus at the box office are paying their PR teams to cal themselves nos 1 and nos 2 ?like really ?its 2026 and not 2000😁today 100 cr is nothing .

Ameesha Patel has been part of several big hits, such as Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Gadar 2. However, she has also experienced her share of box office failures. Recently, she voiced her frustration on social media, calling out actresses she believes are overstating their stardom through PR tactics.
Posting on X, she remarked, “Most female actresses who haven’t even achieved one film in their career where even a single film of theirs has done 200 crore-plus at the box office are paying their PR teams to call themselves No. 1 and No. 2? Like really? It’s 2026 and not 2000. Today, 100 crore is nothing (sic).”
Ameesha Patel Questions Superstar Claims
She further criticised those who label themselves as superstars without delivering significant box office results. According to her, genuine stardom comes only with record-breaking success. “Call yourself a superstar only if you have achieved any sort of work that creates history and havoc at the box office. Until then, stop playing PR games to call yourself a superstar. Sorry, but that’s the harsh reality. Loads of female actresses who haven’t even achieved one solo blockbuster in their careers till date are calling themselves stars by doing two average films yearly, and by being on some shooting sets, you don’t become a star. All you become is an actor who is part of projects,” she wrote.
Ameesha also highlighted her own achievements, mentioning films like Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and the Gadar franchise, she added, “Ek nahin par 3 biggest solo blockbusters as a heroine with the highest footfalls in all 3 films I’ve given, and till date, they are the biggest hits of my co-stars as well. But my FAKE PR machinery is weak, unlike other actresses.”
Ameesha Patel’s Flight Gets Diverted Amid Middle East Conflict
Her comments came shortly after she experienced a travel disruption when her flight from New York to Mumbai was diverted due to regional airspace closures following reported missile activity affecting UAE airspace. Sharing updates online, she wrote, “On my way back to Mumbai from New York on Emirates! As we were about to land in Dubai, the airspace closed in the UAE due to fresh missile attacks! We have now been diverted to Muscat and are awaiting further updates!! When will this war end!! Praying (sic).”
She later added another update from the airport, saying, “24 hours from the time we left NYC and still counting hours to reach Mumbai. Endless airport lounge time (sic),” before eventually landing in Mumbai on Tuesday.
