Ameesha Patel Stranded Mid-Journey As Flight Rerouted Over Missile Threats

Ameesha Patel recently shared a distressing travel update after her flight to Mumbai was rerouted to Muscat following the sudden closure of UAE airspace amid missile threats, leaving passengers waiting for further information. The aircraft, which was originally set to land in Dubai, had to alter its route due to unexpected airspace restrictions in the United Arab Emirates.

Taking to X, Ameesha recounted the tense moment, writing, “On my way back to MUMBAI from NEW YORK on Emirates! As we were about to land in DUBAI, the airspace closed in UAE due to fresh missile Attacks! We have now been diverted to MUSCAT n are awaiting further updates !! When will this WAR end !! Praying.”

Ameesha took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to update her fans about the situation. Sharing a picture of an Emirates plane, she wrote, “And the wait continues…been stuck fr hours and hours at Dubai airport and still stuck. Can’t wait to be back to Mumbai.”

The flight has since landed in Muscat, where passengers are currently awaiting further instructions. As per official statements, the UAE confirmed that its air defence systems were activated in response to missile and drone threats. Authorities clarified that the loud sounds reported in several regions were due to interception efforts. The Ministry of Defence also stated that multiple aerial threats, including cruise missiles, were engaged, and the situation continues to be closely monitored.
