Amitabh Bachchan gifts his Rs 50-crore Juhu bungalow ‘Prateeksha’ to daughter Shweta- Details Inside

Amitabh Bachchan shares a close bond with daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda. According to the reports, Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan have gifted their Juhu bungalow, Prateeksha, to their daughter Shweta. Yes, you read that right. According to the documents accessed from property registration data aggregator Zapkey.com, Big B executed the transfer of the Juhu bungalow on November 9 as a gift to his daughter. The veteran actor paid Rs 50.65 lakh as stamp duty.

The bungalow in the Vitthalnagar Cooperative Housing Society is spread over two plots measuring 674 square metres and 890.47 square metres, which was collectively valued at around Rs 50.63 crore. He also paid a registration fee of Rs 200 for each of the two plots which have been gifted.

For the uninitiated, Prateeksha was the first Bungalow in Juhu purchased by Big B and Jaya after the massive success of Sholay (1975). The couple along with Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan lived in Prateeksha before moving to Jalsa. For those unaware, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s wedding also took place in this bungalow

While Big B’s son Abhishek is an actor, Shweta is an author, columnist, and entrepreneur. She is the author of the book, Paradise Towers.

Big B’s upcoming movies

On the work front, Big B was last seen in Ganapath I, co-starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. The veteran actor will be next seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The upcoming movie also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Kalki 2898 AD will release in the theatres on 12^th January, 2024. Apart from this, Big B also has an untitled film with Rajinikanth.
