For his Bollywood directorial titled ‘Jhund’ the director had even roped in megastar Amitabh Bachchan. In the film, Big B was supposed to play a retired sports teacher who takes the initiative of reforming drug-addicted slum kids through sports.(Also read: Big B & Rishi Kapoor’s pout will put even Bebo & KJo to shame)

However, things don’t seem to be working out in Nagraj Manjule’s favor. According to a recent report in Mumbai Mirror, Big B has walked out of the film as the makers have failed to start off their project on the scheduled time.

Due to the constant delay, Big B couldn’t wait any longer since his dates were clashing with his commitments to other projects.

A source close to the development told Mirror, “Mr. Bachchan had committed himself to the film last year, but the shooting kept getting delayed without any clarity. As he had to give those dates to other filmmakers and was unable to wait any longer, he has decided to opt out. Mr. Bachchan has returned the signing amount to the makers.”

With Amitabh Bachchan walking out of the film we wonder, who Nagraj is going to approach now to step into the megastars’ shoes.

Stay tuned, for further updates on the film.
