Earlier the actor had shared pictures of actors Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra who play Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, respectively, in the upcoming film.

Sharing the photo, Kher tweeted, “Introducing @arjun__mathur as #ShriRahulGandhi and @aahanakumra as #MsPriyankaGandhi.? #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister @tapmofficial #2004 #OathCeremony #VijayGutte @sunil_s_bohra.”

In an interview with DNA, the 63-years-old actor said this is the most difficult film for him, and it’s not easy to portray the former PM on screen.

Kher had said, “I am approaching this part of Dr. Manmohan Singh completely from an actor’s point of view. There is a book and screenplay for reference. I have worked on it for six months. It is the most difficult film as he is the most visible person and so it is not easy to portray him. Also, the world knows him. His language, his movement… so it is more difficult. I need to internalize the character and be that person.”

‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is based on Sanjay Baru’s novel by the same name. The movie is directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, and also features Akshaye Khanna, Suzanne Bernert and Aahana Kumra in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Bohra Bros and is slated to release on December 21.
