India’s Got Latent Controversy

Apoorva, the content creator turned actress, faced significant trolling following her appearance on India’s Got Latent. She was summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell and the National Commission for Women after Ranveer Allahbadia made lewd comments regarding parental intimacy during the show.

In her vlog, Apoorva Mukhija opened up about the derogatory messages she received from internet users. Reflecting on the changes in her life after the controversy, she revealed, “I have lived 17 years in my last house, which never felt like home to me. I have self-harmed myself, and I still have scars. Every day, I used to think that it’s over. I was in love with a man who promised to love, protect and marry me. However, one fine day, he hit me. I was slut-shamed by my relatives before I understood the meaning of the word. I have been talked about, conspired against, and punished for the things that I never did.”

In recent developments to the case, Apoorva also recorded her statements to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell.
