A few days back Sonu Nigam lashed out at the owner of T-Series Bhushan Kumar. Sonu, in one of his videos, had said that a ‘music mafia’ had asked six singers to give interviews against him. Sonu also said that some of the artistes who had interviewed against him were the one who used to discuss with him about the cons of the industry. He said, “Unmein se ek ka bhai hai jo apni Twitter pe aaj se 1.5 years pehle yeh likhta hai ki agar music industry mein unity hoti toh pura scene hi alag hota kyuki aaj industry ke saare musicians tortured hai, unhe woh nahi karne diya ja raha jo woh karna chahte hai. Yeh uski (Armaan Malik) language hai.” He also showed Armaan Malik’s old tweet where he had spoken how unity between the artistes can solve the problems of the Indian music industry.

We spoke to Armaan regarding the entire fiasco, to which he said, “Firstly, I have no side of the story to say because this is debate and a fight between Sonu ji and T-Series. I understand what Sonu ji was trying to say. He is very senior in our industry and he really cares about the young singers and doesn’t want any of us to be manipulated or have any bad experience. So, I really respect about what Sonu ji said and I’m glad he is standing up for that.”

Talking further about it, Armaan said, “They (Sonu and Bhushan) had something between them and I have nothing to say regarding that, to be honest. He had put the screenshot of some tweet in his video but I have nothing because I am not involved in it. For me to say anything seems very weird.”
