Sonu Nigam Reacts After Fan Climbs On Stage During Concert

Sonu Nigam recently addressed an uncomfortable moment from his live concert in Kolhapur after a fan suddenly climbed onto the stage during his performance. The incident took place while Sonu was performing one of his popular tracks on stage. In a video later shared on Instagram, the singer is seen stepping back mid-song after noticing a man making his way onto the stage. The fan, dressed in a white T-shirt, approached Sonu in an attempt to touch his feet and seek blessings, forcing the singer to briefly halt the concert.

Reacting to the interruption, Sonu sarcastically remarked, “Waah, Shabhash!” before security personnel rushed in to handle the situation. A day after the concert, Sonu shared the clip online and expressed his frustration over the breach. In his caption, he wrote, “Kyon Pitne vaale Kaam karte ho audience? Is baar toh bachaa liya, har baar nahi bacha paunga.”

Despite the disruption, Sonu chose not to react aggressively. Instead, he stopped security from dragging the fan away and, surprisingly, handed him the microphone. The fan then sang a short portion of Chori Kiya Re Jiya, seamlessly continuing the performance from where Sonu had paused. After singing, the man shouted, “Kolhapur loves you,” while Sonu appeared visibly uneasy by the unexpected interruption.

Soon after the singer uploaded the video, the fan himself commented on the post, writing, “It’s me, thank you, sir.” Another Instagram user cheekily responded, “Bhai caption padh le.” Several fans praised Sonu Nigam for handling the moment calmly and gracefully. One user commented, “Incredible how gracefully you handled it. Even let the man sing. Fan’s favourite for a reason.” Others, however, pointed out that such incidents can disturb performances and encourage similar behaviour among concertgoers.

Fan Intrusions At Concerts Become A Growing Concern

This is not the first time a singer has experienced such an interruption at a live event. Artists including Atif Aslam, Sunanda Sharma, and Jasmine Sandlas have also faced unexpected fan encounters during concerts this year. Sonu’s latest show became another example of how such situations can quickly cross personal and security boundaries.
