Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana's father Pandit P Khurana passed away in Mohali on Friday.

On Friday, Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana shared the news of their father P Khurana’s death. The family released a statement regarding the same. P Khurana was a renowned astrologer from Chandigarh. He is now survived by his wife and sons Ayushmann and Aparshakti.

The official statement from the family reads, “It’s with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father, Astrologer P Khurana passed away this morning at 10:30am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss.”

P Khurana was a renowned astrologer

Ayushmann and Aparshakti’s father was a very popular astrologer in North India. He had also written a few books in the field and was highly respected for his contributions. He also had a very sound music sense.

Sharing a video of his father playing a flute sometimes back, Aparshakti Khurana had said that he gets his music sense from him. He had written, “ Jamming all the stress away with papa who has been a HUGE Dev Anand fan. Yaad Kiya Dil Ne Kahan Ho Tum is even more special because it’s sung by the legends, Hemant Kumar Saab and Lata Mangeshkar Ji. Hope you like it. P.S – clearly we get our music from him (sic)”.

In an old interview, even Ayushmann Khurrana had opened up about his father. He had said, “I don’t believe in astrology, but my father has been my life coach and mentor. He always used to tell me ‘beta public ki nabz pakdo’ (Catch people’s pulse) and I just did that.” Both Ayushmann and Aparshakti were very close to their father. The two often spoke about how he influenced their lives and the strong bond they all shared.
