Randeep Hooda-Kajal Aggarwal

CBFC is getting quite strict with Bollywood movies. After the whole tiff with the makers of ‘Udta Punjab’, the Censor Board now has a few demands from the Randeep Hooda and Kajal Aggarwal starrer, ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ as well.

The kiss between Randeep and Kajal in the movie has now been asked to cut short. The film’s director Deepak Tijori says, “It was a kiss of 18 seconds. It has now been reduced to 9 seconds. That’s the only visual cut we got.” Apart from this, the censor board asked for the deletion of abusive words like ‘saale’ and ‘kutte’.

Deepak is also apparently unhappy with the cuts. “I guess we all have gone through censorial trauma many times over. But we are helpless as we have to live with the law of the land .They asked for just one visual cut, reduction in the length of the kiss, rest are audio changes which we can’t help, but accept .” However, being a sport, Deepak said, “They had objections to words like saale, kutte, etc .I find this hilarious in this day and age when kids have access to internet that’s full of so much more. But I accept the censor board’s demands for cuts every time quietly, with a smile.”

Tell us if you guys think the Censor Board is being logical.
