Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 27 in the drug case that cropped up in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. As per a report in Mid-Day, she has filed for an anticipatory bail in the special NDPS court in Mumbai on Saturday.

According to sources, the bail plea is likely to be heard on Tuesday. The Narcotics Control Bureau also raided Karishma Prakash’s residence in Mumbai on Tuesday. Reports state that the NCB allegedly found 1.7gm of hashish and two bottles of CBD oil at her Versova home.

Karishma was reportedly ‘untraceable’, and a notice was pasted on the door of her residence. She was questioned last month by the NCB after the WhatsApp messages between her and Deepika Padukone were retrieved. In the WhatsApp messages, Deepika was seen asking her manager for ‘maal’ and ‘hash,’ to which Karishma had replied that she has it at home. The chats were from their group called ‘DP+Ka+KWAN’, where Deepika was the admin. All this came out during Rhea Chakraborty’s interrogation in the drug nexus.

Along with Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash, actresses like Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh were also questioned by the agency. Recently, the NCB has also arrested Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades’ brother in connection to the drug probe.
