After much speculations, Bollywood’s most loved couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their wedding dates on their social media handles. The couple decided to make their big day a private affair and for that, they organised a very tight security system and didn’t give any leeway to media to capture any picture or record any video of their intimate wedding. The wedding was held at Lake Como, Italy as per Konkani and Anand Karaj rituals.

After a long wait, the couple shared two pictures that soon went viral over the internet. Deepika and Ranveer returned to India on November 18 and they were greeted by the paparazzi at the Mumbai airport. While the fans and their well-wishers are wishing the newlyweds, an Italian Sikh organisation has alleged that during their second wedding (November 15), the Sikh code of conduct was violated.

According to a report in Tribune, the Anand Karaj ceremony that took place in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib was shifted from the Brescia gurdwara and that violates the Akal Takht ‘hukumnama’. The report has also quoted Sukhdev Singh Kang, the Indian Sikh Community Italy president, as saying, “This was in violation of the Akal Takht ‘hukumnama’ which sternly prohibits taking Guru Granth Sahib to a place other than a gurdwara.” He added, “It was a major lapse on the part of the Gurudwara management.” Kang said he will write to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh and ask them to conduct an investigation.

Deepika and Ranveer have not reacted on this as of now. They will be flying to Bengaluru as a wedding reception will take place on November 21 in Deepika’s hometown.
