Diljit Dosanjh Border 2 Ban REVOKED Amid Sardaarji 3 Controversy

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming film Border 2 can now resume shooting after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) lifted its ban. The decision came after producer Bhushan Kumar personally requested the federation to allow the film’s production. Although the ban has been removed for Border 2, tension around Diljit’s involvement in future projects remains.

FWICE President BN Tiwari confirmed the news and stated that Bhushan Kumar’s appeal played a major role in the decision. He said, “Yes, the ban has been revoked for this project.” However, the federation has not fully ended its opposition to Diljit.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who is connected with FWICE, gave a strong warning. He said that anyone choosing to work with Diljit in future must be ready for the “consequences.” He added that FWICE will not be held responsible for any financial losses that may come from casting the actor.

The situation started after a terror attack in Pahalgam, India, which was reportedly carried out by people from Pakistan. In response, India banned Pakistani actors from working in the country. Around the same time, Sardaarji 3, featuring Diljit and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, was released outside India on June 27. This upset the Federation and led them to suggest that Diljit should be dropped from Border 2.

Despite the earlier ban, Border 2 will now continue with Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. It is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The film is a sequel to the 1987 hit Border. While Border 2 has been allowed to move forward, Diljit’s future in Bollywood projects remains uncertain.
