Disha Patani pens an emotional note for Sushant Singh Rajput as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story completes 7 years

In 2016, Sushant Singh Rajput, Disha Patani and Kiara Advani gave one of the most successful sports films and biopics in Hindi cinema with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. The film chronicled the life of the former Indian cricket team captain and was a resounding success. Recently, the film completed 7 years and Disha penned an emotional note for her late co-star on the same.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story marked Disha’s Bollywood debut and to celebrate 7 years of the film, she shared a clip from it. The scene in the video is the one where her character confesses her love to Dhoni for the first time. The beautiful scene is highly emotional as well. And Disha accompanied that with a note, remembering Sushant, who passed away in 2020.

In her note, she wrote, “Grateful for this beautiful journey and my first film in Hindi cinema… Love whole heartedly and cherish the ones who make you happy safe and heard… life’s too short for regrets ! We couldn’t say goodbye but i hope you’re happy and at peace.”

The scene is highly emotional and touching, and even the industry recognises that. Many celebs reacted to Disha’s scene in the comments section. Her Malang co-star Anil Kapoor said, “Phenomenal scene .. both of you are so good …” Disha’s BFF Mouni Roy was also all praise for her. She wrote, “You were the embodiment of love in this film. So so brilliant. Loved you… Onwards & upwards… always cheering the loudest for you …” Aparshakti Khurana commented, “Deeeeee♥️I have picture perfect memory of this scene,” while Disha’s rumoured boyfriend Aleksander Ilic dropped some heart emojis.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story still remains a cult film with Sushant having given one of his career best acts in it. The film will always be special to any sport enthusiast as well as Sushant lover. As for Disha, the actress will next be seen in Project K with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. She also recently announced being a part of the comedy ensemble Welcome 3 aka Welcome To The Jungle. The film is being led by Akshay Kumar.
