Revealing about the time when she had doubts about her appearance, Dhvani said, “Yeah I have starved myself. That’s the most dangerous thing you can do to yourself. Just eat and workout and don’t take supplements guys. I have been through that journey and it’s not good. It causes a lot of problems later in the future. Your body might not respond the way it should at a certain age. So be natural as much as you can.”

Opening up about her battle with PCOD, the singer said, “Throughout the lockdown, my face was filled with pimples. And I was gaining weight left, right and centre even after working out. I wasn’t able to understand what’s wrong with me. There are some times when my PCOD aggravates. For me what started working was excessive workout so that my weight is in control and that my skin is in place. Because more than looking bad the pimples used to hurt. That was the only issue having acne on my face. So I feel like don’t be quick to judge anyone. They might be going through some medical issues. So be nice. Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Sharing about the worst kind of bullying she faced due to weight gain when she was growing up, Dhvani said, “I had good friends but at the same time there are always people who say, ‘Ohh moti hai’. There’s a lot of groupism that happens so they don’t let you in because you look a certain way. That’s why I was always this quiet girl. But over time I started to accept that. Then I was the head girl of the school. At the end of the day what people say about you shouldn’t matter. You have to be thick-skinned. But sometimes people just say it in a funny way but it hurts. Children shouldn’t be subjected to such judgements. And elders should be sensitive about it.”
