In an interview with us, when mentioned how she is a spitting image of her mother Sridevi during a few of her performances, Trailblazer Janhvi Kapoor reacted. As we sat down for a candid chat with the Mili actress, she opened up about the similarities she has with her mother.

Janhvi Kapoor told Bollywood Bubble, “That’s also because, I am her daughter. I have her DNA in me. I have grown up with her around. So, unintentionally, intentionally, a lot of my mannerisms are like her. I say things like her. So, I think it’s inevitable that audiences are reminded of that sometimes.

The Good Luck Jerry actress added, “I think, inevitably there will be similarities there’ll be a lot of familiarities because I do have her mannerisms and we have the same DNA. So one thing that I have I guess noticed and realized. I think that a lot of people told me that about her she was switch on and switch off and I think I saw that during English Vinglish also.”

Furthermore, Janhvi shared how she manages to perform in intense scenes, just like her late mother used to.

She continued, “And, I realised, even Mathu sir said this to me and even Raja said this to me, that before really emotionally heavy scenes, it’s most actors like to go into their zone and like work themselves up to it. But for me I think, if I spent enough time with the character, I can be napping one second and then next second start crying.”
