In fact, people invested their time to know more about his personal life rather than his professional life. Speaking about his past relationship, during an exclusive interview, the Inside Edge actor was asked if going public with Aishwarya during the initial days of his career took away the limelight from his professional life and there was a lot of scrutiny on his personal life.

Vivek Oberoi on his relationship:

Vivek said, “Not that I’m not going to answer this question or anything as such because it is done and dusted. For the youth and young talented actors who are watching today, just remember one thing in life, if you’re really focused and committed towards your work and you’re giving your 100% and it happens everywhere, it happens in the corporate houses, it happens in media, it happens all the time. My only advice is that if they can’t attack your professionalism if they can’t attack your talent if they can’t attack the work you do, don’t give them an opportunity to attack you on something and shift the focus. Don’t do that, that would be a disservice to yourself and to your commitment to your career.

Vivek Oberoi on his relationship with wife Priyanka:

When asked about keeping his personal life out of media glare after his much-talked-about relationship with ex-flame Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to which he said, “I have realised that if you don’t want people talking about your personal life, if you’re sensitive towards it and most people are, then you shouldn’t be putting it out there as a projection and when I first met Priyanka and I remember something that made me fall in love with this thought and that when she asked me ‘tell me about yourself’. I said ‘everything is out there online but let me start by saying I’m an actor’, she said one thing to me ‘that’s what you just do, not who you are, I want to know who you are’ and that’s when I realised there so much more to me.
