Fire at NCB Office

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In relation to the drug conspiracy that emerged later, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has also been investigating the case. They have arrested a few suspects including Rhea Chakraborty. Amidst this investigation, a fire broke out today at the Exchange building that houses NCB office.

Reportedly the Exchange building which is located in the Ballard Estate area in Mumbai, had caught fire. The fire brigade was immediately rushed to the location and immediate action was taken. As a precautionary measure, the building was evacuated as well.

According to a report by Times Now, a fire official said that no one was injured in the incident. He also informed that the fire started at around 1:15 pm on the second floor. The official said, “It was a level ‘zero’ (minor) fire. Water tankers and fire engines were rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused. He also added that some office furniture and stationery were gutted in the fire. The fire was said to be caused by a short-circuit.

Meanwhile, Rhea was arrested by NCB in relation to the drug conspiracy in the Sushant’s death case. Also her brother Showik and other drug peddlers have been arrested under sections 89(c), 20(b), 27(a), 28 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).  She will be in judicial custody for 14 days till September 22 that is tomorrow and so far her bail plea has been denied.
