‘There is no fight with Ameesha Patel,’ clarifies Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma after the actress’ allegations

Gadar 2 has been in news recently quite a lot. Apart from the excitement for the film’s release, there have been one other controversy also. It all started when Ameesha Patel hurled accusation at Anil Sharma productions for being unprofessional during the film’s shoot. The director has now opened up on his equation with the actress.

Ameesha had shared a series of tweets on her social media where she said that many technicians weren’t paid by Anil Sharma Productions. She said that unpaid food bills, transport issues and accommodation problems was also persistent through the shoot. The actress insisted that it all got resolved when Zee Studios stepped in.

Anil Sharma on equation with Ameesha Patel

Now, in a recent interview, Anil clarified that there is no fight between him and Ameesha. It is all happy and cordial. He said, “We have had a bond for over 22 years now and will continue to exist. There is no questionability on professionalism by Ameesha. All is well, and it’s just chatter. I am excited for the film and at the moment, my entire focus is to get the film ready. There is no fight with Ameesha, and it’s all love and affection between us.”

The filmmaker went on to add, “There is insane interest for our film. I have always maintained, Gadar is not just a film but an emotion for the entire country. We have worked very hard to create a unique experience and we don’t want to break any heart. We have worked with so much positivity and want to release the film in the right way on August 11 and don’t want to be impacted by any negativity.”

Gadar 2 details

Gadar 2 is eyeing a release date of August 11, 2023, where it will clash with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2. The film sees the return of Sunny Deol as Tara Singh and Ameesha as Sakina. Utkarsh Sharma, who played their son in the 2001 film, is returning as a leading man this time. The makers released the first song from the sequel, a recreation of Udd Ja Kaale Kaava. Now, there are reports that Arijit Singh will be joining Udit Narayan in the recreation of Main Nikla Gaddi Leke.
