Anil Sharma reveals his inspiration behind the Gadar movie series

A reporter asked whether he drew inspiration from Mahabharata, noting the resemblance between Sunny lifting the heavy cartwheel and Abhimanyu’s chakra, as well as Sunny and Utkarsh on the war field akin to Lord Krishna and Arjuna. In response, Anil Sharma disclosed his deep admiration for the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Answering the question, Director Anil Sharma said, “Katha toh main Ramayan, Mahabharat se hi leta hu. Pichli film bhi Ramayan hi thi, Ram ko Sita ko lene ke liye Lanka mein aate hai.
