When in doubt always Google. However what happens when the search engine giant ends up giving you wrong answers? Well, its blooper goes on to grab headlines especially when it shows Anushka Sharma as the wife of Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan’s wife.

Yes, you read that right. We all know that Anushka is married to cricketer Virat Kohli. However, if you google cricketer Rashid Khan’s wife, the search engine shows Anushka’s name has his wife. Wondering why? Well, read on to know the answer.

Anushka is happily married to Virat. In fact, the couple is all set to welcome their first child. So obviously everyone was stumped when Google showed Anushka as Rashid Khan’s wife. And the irony is that Rashid is not even married yet!

If you ask Google about Rashid’s wife it shows his bio alongwith his marital status as married to Anushka Sharma. His wedding date is mentioned as December 11, 2017. Which is actually the date when the actress got married to Virat.

Well, there’s an interesting reason why Google has mistaken the ‘PK’ actress as Rashid’s wife. According to a report in India Today, back in 2018, during an Instagram live chat session with his followers, Rashid was asked to name his favourite Bollywood actresses.

The Afghan cricketer named Anushka and Preity Zinta as his favourite actresses. Following which Rashid trended massively as numerous news portals reported about Anushka being his favourite. His name trended so much so that ever since then Google has been showing Anushka as his wife.

Meanwhile, Rashid in an interview has revealed that he will marry once Afghanistan lifts the cricket World Cup. And he is currently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing IPL.

And yeah, looks like Google needs to work on its algorithm. After all, Anushka is quite a popular actress and she is married to the world-famous cricketer Virat.
