Streaming giant Netflix India announced its highly anticipated slate of original films, series, documentaries and comedy specials for 2021. The OTT platform unveiled over 41 titles of varied genres and languages.

Around 13 new films are part of this slate. From Dhamaka, Pagglait, Penthouse to Sardar Ka Grandson, the cinephiles are in for a vast range of films to choose from. Wondering which all films feature on this list? Well, read on to find out.

Amidst the pandemic, streaming platforms came to the audience’s rescue as theatres were shut down owing to the lockdown restrictions. Netflix is now all set to enthral the audience with its long list of original films, series and documentaries.

Here is the list of Indian films that will release on Netflix in 2021:

Haseen Dillruba

Directed by Vinil Mathew, the film features Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Harshvardhan Rane.

Ajeeb Daastaans

This anthology consists of segments helmed by Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan, Kayoze Irani. The anthology features actors like Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Armaan Ralhan, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee, Inayat Verma, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul, Tota Roy Chowdhury.

Bulbul Tarang

Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, the romantic drama features Tahir Raj Bhasin and Sonakshi Sinha.

Dhamaka

Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead. The film also stars Amrut Subhash.

Sardar Ka Grandson

Director Kaashvie Nair’s cross-border family drama features Arjun Kapoor, Neena Gupta, Rakul Preet Singh and Soni Razdan.

 

Pagglait

Umesh Bist’s Pagglait stars Sanya Malhotra in the lead role. The film also features Sayani Gupta, Ashutosh Rana and Raghubir Yadav.

Penthouse

Director duo Abbas-Mustan are back with a thriller Penthouse starring Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, Sharman Joshi, Mouni Roy, Cyrus Broacha, Tisca Chopra, Abrar Zahoor.

Jaadugar

Jitendra Kumar and Arushi Sharma come together for the first time for Sameer Saxena’s Jaadugar

Meenakshi Sundareshwar

Vivek Soni’s rom-com features Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani.

 

Jagame Thandhiram

Starring Dhanush, James Cosmo, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, Joju George, Jagame Thandiram is helmed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Navarasa

Nine directors have come together for this one film. Produced by Mani Ratnam, Jayendra Panchapakesan, the anthology features Revathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Anjali, Aditi Balan, Remya Nambeesan, Poorna and several others.

Milestone

The poignant film follows the story of a recently bereaved, middle-aged truck driver, Ghalib, who is coping with a personal tragedy and the consequences thereafter, while facing the existential threat of losing his job to a young recruit. The film is helmed by Ivan Ayr and stars Suvinder Vicky and Lakshvir Saran.

The Disciple

Chaitanya Tamhane’s award-winning film The Disciple is also lined up for OTT release.
