Going in the theatres to watch Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, everyone expected to be mesmerised by the chemistry of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. While they did shine, there was another surprising chemistry that triumphed even them. It came from Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi ji. The veteran pair shared a crackling equation on screen. The kissing scene between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi has become a topic of discussion and now his wife Hema Malini has reacted to it.

The kissing scene has become the talk of the town with people praising its rawness and sensitivity. Even Dharam ji has had his share of fun responding to that subject. Recently, at the success press conference of RRKPK, Dharam ji was again asked about it.

He had hilariously replied to it,“Mujhe messages aa rahe hai ki Dharam ji apne aisa-aisa kia hai. Maine kaha ‘nahin yaar, yeh toh mere daye haath ka kaam hai’. Kuch baaye haath se karwana ho toh woh bhi karwalo. Aur mujhe kahan Karan (Johar) ne ki paaji aap joh hai wahi rehna. I have many good stories. (I’ve been getting messages that Dharam ji you’ve done this that. I told them ‘No, this is the work of my right hand’. Karan Johar asked me to stay the same. I have many good stories).”

He went on to add, “God is great. Aur mujhe bhi jab jab mauka milta hai, chakka maar deta hu. Aap logon ne dilon mein yeh joh jagah de rakhi hai, woh mein jaane nahi dunga. (God is great. Whenever I get a chance, I hit a six. I will not let go of the place that you have given me in your hearts).”

Now, Hema ji has given her reaction to the viral kiss. The dream girl insisted with a laugh that she hasn’t seen the scene yet. However, according to Times Now, she said, “I am sure people have loved the film. I am so happy for Dharam ji, because he loves to be in front of the camera all the time. He loves it.”

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani box office

RRKPK features Ranveer and Alia in the lead alongside Dharam ji, Shabana ji and Jaya Bachchan. It marked Karan’s return to direction after 7 years. The film received rave reviews critically and commercially too, it has performed well. RRKPK has collected Rs 73.33 crores at the box office in its first week.
