Arbaaz Khan summoned by Thane Police in connection with IPL betting scam

Superstar Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan has been summoned by the Thane police on Friday afternoon, in connection with the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting scam. The investigative officer in this case, Pradeep Sharma has submitted his preliminary report to Thane CP.

A couple of days back, India’s topmost bookie Sonu Jalan aka Sonu Batla was arrested by the Thane police’s extortion cell. Jalan was arrested from Kalyan court when Police was tipped about his presence. The Bookie is said to have connections with the ‘D-company’, headed by terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. He is reported to have earned Rs 500 crore from betting in IPL 2018.

During interrogations the bookie had revealed that Arbaaz Khan would place bets on the IPL matches through him. The report further revealed that the actor had suffered major loss in betting. Not only Arbaaz, many other Bollywood celebrities too are in contact with the bookie. They have earned a huge amount of money by placing bets with him.

As per reports, Arbaaz’s father, Salim Khan, spoke to Times Now and said that the actor is currently in town. He further added that he doesn’t know who Sonu Jalan is. (Also Read: It’s a wrap for Arbaaz Khan and Sunny Leone starrer ‘Tera Intezar’s first schedule)

The Thane police revealed that they have asked the actor to join the probe against the IPL betting scam.
