Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma gave a special shout-out to Indian cricket team for their match against Australia in the women’s T20 World Cup finals. The final match coinciding with International Women’s Day has made the day all the more special for the entire nation.

Interestingly, today also marks women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s birthday. Khiladi Akshay Kumar shared a video on his social media handle, alongside the caption, “Sending my best to the best! @ImHarmanpreet and team, you’ve already done us proud. All I can say more is Chak de phatte!!! P.S. Harmanpreet, don’t forget to have some fun today on your birthday (sic)”

In the video, the ‘Gold’ actor can be heard saying, “I would like to congratulate Harmanpreet and team India for reaching the finals of T20 World Cup finals. I remember when you all had reached the finals of one-day World Cup, I was also present there with all of you. Anushka Sharma combined her Women’s Day wish with sending her best wishes to the Indian team. The ‘Zero’ actress wrote, “#WomensDay couldn’t get any better.. Can’t wait to watch girls in blue play the #T20WorldCupFinal .. Cheering for the entire team! Let’s go girls.”
