Imran Khan CONFIRMS Bollywood Comeback With Adhure Hum Adhure Tum; Reveals, “It’s In Post Production Now”

Imran Khan earned himself a fan base like never before when he debuted in Bollywood in 2008 with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane. While fans enjoyed his performances for the next couple of years, the actor pretty much stepped away from Bollywood after the release of Katti Batti in 2015. Since then, Imran’s big screen return has been the talk of the town. While the actor’s cameo appearance in Vir Das’ Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos surprised fans, the actor has now finally spoken about Bollywood comeback.

During a recent interview, Imran not only confirmed his return to acting with Adhure Hum Adhure Tum but also shared some details about the projects. Read on to know all he said.

While talking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Imran Khan got candid about his comeback project, and revealed that it’s currently under post-production. Sharing details about the film, Khan told the portal, “I have just finished shooting a new movie. It’s my first movie in 10 years and we’re in post-production right now. It’s called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum.” Sharing more details, the actor said, ” It’s for Netflix and is scheduled to come out at the end of this year. It’s a grown-up romantic comedy… age-appropriate to where I am now.”

During the conversation, Imran revealed the film resonates deeply with the person he has become over the years – both in his personal and professional life. Rather than making his comeback with a typical commercial entertainer, he chose a story that reflects his journey, experiences and evolving perspective over the past decade. Talking about the film, he said, “I’ve just worked with a really great young actor, Gurfateh Pirzada. Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It’s the one I simply had to make after 10 years.”

In 2026, Imran Khan made the headline on two occasions – at the start of the year when he starred in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos and last month when he joined in the student protests.
