Imran Khan Breaks Silence On Playing Ashneer Grover In His Biopic; Says, “Haven’t Even Heard Of This”

Imran Khan has responded to rumours about his involvement in the biopic of Ashneer Grover, clarifying that he does not know the project. Speculation had suggested that Khan would play Ashneer Grover, with Shraddha Kapoor cast as his wife, and that Aamir Khan might be producing the movie.

The actor stated to Hindustan Times, “I have not even heard of this project. This is not true,” dismissing the reports that linked him to the film.

What Were The Rumours?

Talking about Shraddha’s casting, Mid-Day quoted a source that said it was finalised early on. The source said, “It was decided early on that Shraddha would play the female lead. She has seen the screenplay develop up close.”

According to reports, the upcoming biopic on Ashneer Grover will be written and helmed by Rahul Mody, Shraddha Kapoor’s rumoured beau. Mody has previously worked on films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

Even though no official announcement about the film and casting has been made, a media report said that Aamir has agreed to do the biopic. Bollywood Hungama quoted a source, “Aamir has read it and loved it; he is doing this film. It’s in the pre-production stage. It’s also very relatable as Ashneer is an extremely popular figure with today’s audience.”

Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, rose to prominence through his appearances on Shark Tank India, where his candid remarks, including the viral term “doglapan,” garnered widespread attention. Meanwhile, Imran Khan is gearing up for his return to acting with Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, a Netflix original film. This project marks his comeback to mainstream cinema after a hiatus. Despite the ongoing rumours, Khan has made it clear that he is not involved in the Ashneer Grover biopic, and fans will have to wait for official updates on his upcoming projects.
