‘Indian 2’ New poster: Kamal Haasan looks deadly as Senathipathi

After delivering a blockbuster movie ‘2.0’, the film’s director Shankar has released a new poster of his upcoming film ‘Indian 2’ starring Kamal Haasan. In the new poster, Kamal Haasan looks older but wiser and deadlier than ever before. It is to be noted that this might be Haasan’s last film before he enters into full-fledged politics.

The film ‘Indian 2’ is a sequel of 1996 hit movie ‘Indian’ starring Kamal Haasan and for his mind-blowing performance, he was given a National Film Award in the Best Actor category in the year 1996. Over two decades later, the sequel of the film is all set to go on floors on January 18 this year.

Speculations have been on for many months,  that the filmmakers are working on ‘Indian 2’ script. However, on January 17, ‘2.0’ director took to the microblogging site and released a new poster informing that the shooting of the much-awaited film will begin from tomorrow (January 18). The poster of the film evokes memories as it shows Kamal Haasan in Senathipathi look from 1996-film Indian, which is a stupendous film in his career.

Talking about the cast of ‘Indian 2’, Kajal Aggarwal has been locked to play the lead female character and there are reports doing the rounds that Akshay Kumar might be collaborating for the second time with Shankar in the film after ‘2.0’.

On the work front, Shankar’s last film ‘2.0’ was released on November 29 last year. It is the costliest Indian film ever made. The Hindi version of the film turned out to be a blockbuster at the box-office.
