Known for his impeccable comic timing and memorable performances in films like Hungama, Chup Chup Ke, Bhagam Bhag and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Rajpal Yadav continues to remain one of Bollywood’s most loved actors. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Rajpal Yadav opened up about the one horror film that genuinely stayed with him, why he believes Bhool Bhulaiyaa still feels ‘incomplete,’ and his interesting idea for a possible Chhota Pandit vs Manjulika storyline. Scroll on to know what the actor had to share.
Rajpal Yadav Reveals Which Horror Film Has Left A Lasting Impact On Him
Talking about the one horror film that left a lasting impact on him, Rajpal Yadav recalled how Bhool Bhulaiyaa still manages to surprise him even after multiple viewings. He said, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1, woh psychological joh tha usme Vidya Balan jab peheli mein jab hamara role to tha hi.”
The actor further explained how the psychological angle of the film completely changed the experience for audiences. Sharing why the film still works years later, he said, “Lekin woh film mein genuinely kuch cheezein kuch current aisa tha ki woh film jitni baar dekhi, woh film waise toh bahut saari film dekhi hain lekin Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 abhi bhi lagta hai ki woh bahut zyada bolte hai na reel is illusion of reality. Toh woh itni illusion usne aankhon ko create kiya jisme humne kaam kiya hai lekin woh film with background jab banke aayi. Toh usme last mein jab Vidya Balan ka woh episode aur woh gaana chal raha hota hai na toh wahan pe really lagta hai ki something is going.”
Rajpal Yadav Manifests Chhota Pandit VS Manjulika Face Off
Rajpal then revealed that he still feels the Bhool Bhulaiyaa universe has more stories left to explore. According to him, Chhota Pandit and Manjulika’s dynamic remains unfinished even today. Speaking about the same, he said, “Abhi bhi film mujhe lagta hai ki Bhool Bhulaiyaa abhi bhi adhoori hai.”
Explaining his theory further, the actor shared a hilarious yet intriguing observation about his character. He said, “Kyunki akele Pandit ne Manjulika dekhi hai, chhote Pandit ne pehli mein aur tab se rang-biranga ghoom raha hai aur mila abhi tak nahi hai Manjulika se. Main hamesha bataya ki uss din Bhushan se bhi bola jab shooting kar rahe the.”
The actor added, “Humne kaha mujhe lag raha hai ki chhote Pandit ne pehli baar jab Manjulika ko dekha toh baaki sab kahi is pe Manjulika kahi uss pe lekin Manjulika ko dekha chhote tab se rang biranga ghoom raha hai. Agar Manjulika Vs Chhota Pandit pe koi kahani proper bane toh ye kahani aur bhi kuch alag mod leke jaayegi. Lekin mere dimaag mein humesha chalta hai ki Chhota Pandit vs Manjulika ek baar zaroor hona chahiye kyunki abhi Pandit bhi baahar se hai. Manjulika isse takra ke chali gayi.”
