The ‘Angrezi Medium’ actor  Irrfan Khan passed away at 53. The actor was admitted to a Mumbai hospital yesterday for a colon infection. The 53- year old was battling cancer since 2018 and it was confirmed on Tuesday that he was under observation. This shocking news has shaken up the entire nation. In this time of mourning, we remember his last heartfelt message during ‘Angrezi Medium’ when he said, “Wait for me”.

After the wait for Angrezi Medium was over and the poster was revealed, a 1:19 minutes teaser showing various clips from the movie was published. Irrfan Khan spoke about the ‘unwanted mehmans’ (ailments) in his body. He had saod, “I am with you and not with you. ‘Angrezi Medium’, is very special to me. I truly wanted to promote this film as passionately as we made it, but there are some unwanted guests in my body and they are keeping me busy.” He also says that the film will teach us and make us laugh and cry too. Towards the end, he told, “Wait for me”.

The video made many emotional as we were early waiting for Irrfan to finally return and never expected his unpredictable unfortunate turn of events.

In 2011, Khan was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour for his contribution to the field of arts. Khan was seen in movies like ‘Amazing Spiderman’, ‘Jurassic World’ and other Hollywood movies. Irrfan was last seen in Homi Adajania’s ‘Angrezi Medium’ that also starred Kareena Kapoor. The actor was also absent from the promotions due to his ailment.
