According to a PTI report, through his lawyer, Javed Akhtar has recorded his statement before the magistrate. In November, Javed had filed a defamation case against Kangana for making derogatory comments on him on national and international television.

The veteran lyricist in his complaint had said that Kangana’s baseless comments caused damage to his hard-earned reputation. He also accused the actress of unnecessarily dragging his name in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The complaint was filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Andheri. The court will take up the matter for hearing on December 19.

Now reacting to the latest development in the case, Kangana tweeted, “Single woman/lone warrior fighting against Bullywood suicide gang, drug mafia, fascist government, tukde gang all at once, I may have chosen a difficult life but it’s an honour to awaken my nation to all the threats we face against our unity and integrity.”

In his complaint, Javed has also mentioned how the actress had claimed that he had threatened her to not to speak about her alleged affair with Hrithik Roshan. The lyricist also mentioned that because of Kangana’s claims he has been targeted by the trolls on social media.

Meanwhile, Kangana has received several legal notices over her tweets that have allegedly caused communal disharmony.
