Ranveer Singh is all set to add a Gujarati tadka to his career with Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The movie is about a man who believes in equal rights between males and females in the society. The Band Baaja Baaraat actor’s first look was released on 4 December 2019.

The film is directed by debutante Divyan Thakkar and produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Film. Now, after announcing the release date, fans can surely expect the announcement of Jayeshbhai Jordaar’s trailer soon. Earlier, it was slated to release on February 25 this year.

Talking about his character, Ranveer said in a statement, “As Charlie Chaplin once said, ‘To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!’. Jayeshbhai is an unlikely hero, an ordinary man, who ends up doing something extraordinary when he’s hurled into a threatening situation. Jayeshbhai is sensitive and compassionate. He believes in equal rights between men and women in a society that is deeply rooted in patriarchal ideals, practices and doctrines.”

The movie will also mark the Bollywood debut of Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey. It also stars Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Deeksha Joshi in supporting roles
