Karan Johar recently opened up about feeling overwhelmed by the constant influx of negative news on social media and questioned if others were experiencing the same anxiety and should take a detox. Known for sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he posted a story expressing that he has ‘seriously considered’ a social media detox due to the distressing updates.

On Monday morning, he wrote, “Is everyone else getting anxious seeing only bad news on the gram??? Have seriously considered a detox!” In another story, Karan praised the song ‘Qayde Se’ from Anurag Basu’s recently released film ‘Metro…In Dino,’ calling it “the best expression of love I have heard in a mainstream song recently…take a bow, Amitabh Bhattacharya…Also, what a song!!! Pritam Dada.”

He also shared excitement for the upcoming release of a song from Dhadak 2, stating, “And tomorrow a song from Dhadak 2 will release and I have been waiting for a year for everyone to hear this song… It’s been a song I have been singing and feeling for so long, and can’t wait to share it with all of you… #basekdhadak has made me want to fall in love… Jubin, you have given it so much heart, and Shreya, you know what a huge fan I am of yours…can’t wait!!”

Dhadak 2, directed by debutant Shazia Iqbal and starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is produced by a stellar team including Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, and others, and is set for release on August 1, 2025.
