OMG! Karan Johar congratulates Kangana Ranaut for bagging the Padma Shri

Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut are often making headlines for their controversial spat on nepotism in the glittering world of Bollywood. The ‘Panga’ actress and the filmmaker have also bagged the Padma Shri this year on the occasion of Republic Day. What surprised netizens was the fact that KJo congratulated the actress for bagging the award with him.

Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar both have received the Padma Shri. After bagging the award, the actress was apparently asked about Karan on winning the most prestigious award. The actress then congratulated him and said that he has worked to achieve the position he is right now. The ‘Panga’ actress even praised him for the kind of movies he has been making. Now, it’s KJo who is all praise for his fellow Padma Shri Winner, Kangana.

As per the report in Mumbai Mirror, the ‘Takht’ director said, “Tomorrow, if I have a film for which I need Kangana, I will pick up the phone and call her. Whatever the problem, whatever may have been said on social media, is irrelevant to me. I’m a filmmaker and she’s an artist and no amount of personal bias should come in the way of that relationship. I believe in that and will stand by it.”

Karan Johar’s comments surely prove that the filmmaker is ready to work with her in spite of having differences of opinion with her. Quite a great gesture, we must say!
