Karan Johar has THIS to say on Sara and Janhvi’s debut award
Bollywood biggie Karan Johar is one of a kind. The 46-year-old is a director, producer, actor, scriptwriter, radio jockey, chat show host and the list is unending. Karan Johar, over the years, has launched many star kids and has been at the receiving end of criticism from some quarters.
Earlier today, KJo was at the trailer launch of Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’, which he is also co-producing. The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ director like always spoke his mind when he was asked about the comparisons between Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.
As per the PinkVilla report, Karan said, “I think it’s not fair to compare both the girls. Awards don’t matter but the work they do is what matters.” The filmmaker was responding to the question of which actress will win the debut award in the female category.
In this Instagram image, we see Karan posing with Sara and Janhvi for a selfie.
Janhvi made her Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions’ ‘Dhadak’, which was the remake of Marathi blockbuster film ‘Sairat’. The film was directed by Shashank Khaitan. Sara will make her debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is releasing on December 7, 2018.
Janhvi and Sara both have denied competition and rivalry and they have said that there is mutual respect between them. Bollywood as an industry is quite vast and it has space for everyone to flourish.
At the end of the day, only talent matters and both the actresses are immensely talented and hardworking.
