Karan Johar REACTS after Varun Dhawan reveals father David Dhawan once called him a ‘nazuk Dharma hero’

Varun Dhawan is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood. He made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year co-starring Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Recently, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth made an appearance on Karan Johar-hosted chat show Koffee With Karan season 8. The actors were at their candid best.

Varun recalls his father calling him ‘nazuk Dharma hero’

Talking about Varun, in particular, he was fun to watch. During the fun conversation, Varun recalled the time his father David Dhawan called him a ‘nazuk Dharma hero’ when he fell off a bike during shoot.

Recalling the time, Varun Dhawan told Karan Johar, “So, when I was shooting for Main Tera Hero, I had a bike shot entering the college, and I fell down. And my said on the mic, ‘Aare yeh Dharma ka hero hai, bahut nazuk hai (He’s a delicate Dharma hero).” To this, Karan responded saying, “I’m making boys nazuk. I like that.”

When Sidharth Malhotra broke Varun’s nose during shoot

On the show, Varun also recalled the time Sidharth broke his nose during his first action scene for SOTY. He went on to add that it wasn’t Sidharth’s fault. KJo said, “First action sequence ever in life and just a mistake… Varun’s father David and his brother Rohit came to see him in the hospital and they were more concerned about Sidharth. They were only worried about Sid. They were like, ‘Yeh Varun ki galti hogi, woh extra enthu hogaya hoga (It must have been Varun’s fault, he must’ve become overethusiastic)’. And they were like, ‘Is Sid okay? Tell him it’s fine.’”

On the show, Varun and Sidharth also revealed that they are not best friends but share a good camaraderie. Varun and Sidharth have successfully carved a niche for themselves in the industry. While Sidharth last delivered a terrific performance in Shershaah, Varun won hearts with his terrific performance in Bawaal.

The actors have interesting projects in the pipeline. Varun will be seen in Raj & DK’s Citadel India. Talking about Sidharth, he has Yodha and Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force.
