Meanwhile, Bollywood heartthrob Kartik has been roped in for Mudassar Aziz directorial ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’. In the love triangle, Kartik will be stepping into the shoes of Sanjeev Kumar from the original. But the plan is to develop a story in contemporary times. We feel Kartik will be perfect for the role, given his impeccable comic timing and his fantastic reach among the young audiences.

Along with Kartik, there are talks about getting Taapsee Pannu on board as the female lead, who will play his wife. The girl, who would be playing his secretary (who he has an affair with) still needs to be locked. The film is expected to go on floors around May-June this year after the ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ star finishes his other work commitments

But Kartik is clearing roaring at the top today. He has films with almost every leading A-list star. After Taapsee and Kriti Sanon, he will also play a love interest to Sara Ali Khan in ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’. Will 2019 also be his year? Probably yes!
