Now, Abhishek Kapoor, who has directed the film has gone ahead to share his inspiration for ‘Kedarnath’. Talking about the drama, Abhishek Kapoor shares, “The inspiration is the real location’s imagery. It has to be true to its own geography. We’re not trying to imitate a western film, I’m making an Indian movie”.

He further adds, “When you go to Kedarnath and study about the floods and what happened, you realise that the topography of it is so mammoth. And it’s a real event. So, you study the history and follow what happened, in as much detail as you can and recreate it from scratch”.

‘Kedarnath’s trailer showcases the incredible chemistry of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan picturised in the beautiful hills of Uttarakhand. The story revolves around, how a Muslim porter, played by Sushant Singh Rajput and a Hindu devotee, played by Sara Ali Khan fall in love. The love story is the biggest conflict of the film, apart from the devastating floods.

‘Kedarnath’ is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Abhishek Kapoor’s Guy In the Sky Pictures. The film also marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. ‘Kedarnath’ is releasing on December 7, 2018.
