Kiara Advani on ‘Kabir Singh’: I think the film chose me, it was in my destiny
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will star in the Hindi remake of a Telegu film ‘Arjun Reddy’. As per the latest report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers have finalised ‘Kabir Singh’ as the title of the Hindi remake. Shahid has already started shooting for the movie.
This is Kiara’s first movie with Shahid. We have seen them in the dance video ‘Urvashi’ where they have displayed a sizzling chemistry with their moves. Talking about the movie, the ‘Fugly’ actress told Zoom, “I think the film chose me. It was in my destiny. I had watched the original (‘Arjun Reddy’) and absolutely loved it. It just so happened that the director saw my performance in Dhoni and met me. Sandeep (Vanga) sir was the one who saw Preeti in me.”
Kiara also said that her character was challenging. “It’s a challenging character because we come from such different backgrounds but then love is universal and the way my character deals with her relationship is something I could relate to. I’m just lucky to have Sandeep sir direct me and guide me to portray and live this character while we shoot,” said the actress.
On working with Shahid, Kiara said that it was a fun experience working with him on ‘Urvashi’ single. She complimented Shahid as an ‘amazing dancer’ and a ‘great actor’. “The whole vibe on the sets of Urvashi was magical! He has a very contagious energy and I am really looking forward to shooting with him again. It’s an intense film so it’ll be different from the vibe of the song,” added Kiara.
