Jug Jugg Jeeyo release date ANNOUNCED: Kiara Advani & Varun Dhawan look adorable as bride and groom

Jug Jugg Jeeyo starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Prajakta Kohli is now set to release on 24th June 2022! The star cast along with filmmaker Karan Johar has finally announced Jug Jugg Jeeyo release date of the film on their respective Instagram handles. While doing so, they have also dropped new stills from the film and it looks like we are going to witness a big fat wedding. 

Among many, one picture had Varun and Kiara dressed as bride and groom whereas Anil Kapoor and Neetu are also seen wearing traditional outfits. In another picture, we see Kiara walking down the aisle. They even released a motion poster of the film, captioning, “Family is everything Issilye #JUGJUGJEEYO! Coming to take over the cinemas near you on 24th June 2022.”

Apart from this, the film which is helmed by Raj Mehta also marks the comeback of Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu after the demise of her husband Rishi Kapoor. In an interview, she revealed Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan were her pillar of strength. She was quoted saying, “When I did those 70-80 movies, I was young and my mother used to accompany me. And then I did those two movies (Do Dooni Chaar and Besharam) with my husband. For me to agree to Jug Jugg Jeeyo took a lot because for the first time I didn’t have anyone with me. It was quite an experience. Also, my husband had passed away recently, so I was a bit shaken up inside.”

“I needed something to make me feel stronger. I was anxious initially but gradually became used to the routine. And everybody made me feel better on the sets. Anil Kapoor, director Raj Mehta, Kiara (Advani), Varun (Dhawan), everyone was a pillar of strength. So, I relaxed after a few days. I’m glad I did the film,” she continued.
