Quentin Tarantino’s revenge flick, Kill Bill will be remade in Hindi and Nikhil Dwivedi had already acquired the rights. Reportedly, the Hindi version will be helmed by filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap, and Kriti Sanon might play the leading role.

Pinkvilla quoted a source saying that Nikhil has been working closely on the script of Kill Bill’s Hindi adaptation with Anurag Kashyap during the lockdown. “The duo are calling it a homage to the original film and have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of the Quentin Tarantino directorial. Anurag and Nikhil have now taken a step ahead to move on to the casting front and initiated conversations with Kriti Sanon to play the lead,” said the source. The paperwork is said to be done soon.

This will be Kriti’s first action-packed role and she will have to prep for multiple forms of action before the film goes on floors. The source said that Kriti’s character is of an assassin who is said to be the deadliest woman in the world and apart from action, there will be revenge and emotions all through the narrative, as the original one. Two more actresses will also be part of the film in important roles.

Kriti will first complete the shoot of Adipurush that has Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. She is playing the role of Sita. The source said that the film might start early next year and it will depend on the Covid-19 situation.

Coming back to Kill Bill, the lead role was played by Uma Thurman. She played a pregnant assassin, The Bride, who goes into a coma for four years after her ex-boss Bill attacks her. She then seeks revenge.
